Our Learning Design Approach
At Activate Learning Pty Ltd, we design learning that is practical, flexible, and focused on real workplace impact.
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all learning.
We believe learning should be shaped around the people, context, challenges, and outcomes that matter most to your organisation.

Four Design Principles
Activate Engagement
People learn best when they are involved.
Our sessions include discussion,
reflection,
practical exercises, scenarios,
group work,
problem-solving,
peer learning, and meaningful facilitator-led conversations.
Activate Relevance
Learning needs to feel connected to real work.
We design learning experiences that speak to the actual situations, conversations, decisions,
pressures, and performance expectations people face in their roles.

decisions,
pressures, and performance expectations people face in their roles.
Activate Impact
Learning should strengthen performance.
We design with the end goal in mind.
We help organisations build capability,
confidence,
behaviour change, and measurable workplace value.

Delivery Options
Modular learning pathways are structured as a series of connected learning modules that can be delivered over days, weeks, or months.
Each module focuses on a specific capability area while still contributing to a broader development outcome.
This option is ideal for organisations that want flexibility, as modules can be selected, sequenced, or customised according to audience level, business priority, and available time.
Our in-person workshops are delivered on-site at the client’s premises or at an agreed external venue. This option works well for highly interactive learning, team-based activities, leadership development, communication skills, and practical workplace conversations.
Group sizes can be tailored to the learning need, but we generally recommend smaller to medium-sized groups to allow for discussion, participation, coaching, and meaningful application.
Our virtual workshops are designed for live online delivery using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or the client’s preferred platform.
These sessions are interactive, structured, and practical, with opportunities for discussion, reflection, breakout activities, polls, and workplace application.
Virtual workshops are ideal for geographically dispersed teams or organisations that require flexible access without bringing everyone into one physical space.
Blended learning journeys combine different learning methods to create a richer and more sustained development experience.
This may include live workshops, virtual sessions, microlearning, learner workbooks, workplace activities, coaching prompts, assessments, and reflection tasks.
Blended journeys are useful when clients want learning to happen over time, with opportunities for participants to practise, apply, and build capability between sessions.

Our custom-designed programmes are built around the client’s specific business context, audience needs, performance challenges, and capability goals.
These programmes can be delivered in person, virtually, or through a blended approach.
They are ideal for organisations that need learning to reflect their strategy, culture, values, roles, language, and workplace realities.
Learning academies provide a structured approach to developing capability across an organisation, department, function, or role family.
They can include different learning pathways for different roles or levels, with clear progression, learning outcomes, assessments, and implementation plans.
This option is well suited to organisations that want to build long-term capability, create consistency, and support employee growth over time.
Facilitator-led sessions are live learning experiences guided by a skilled facilitator, either in person or virtually.
These sessions are designed to encourage participation, discussion, skills practice, reflection, and workplace application.
They work especially well when the topic requires conversation, behavioural change, leadership insight, or the opportunity for participants to learn from one another.
Self-paced learning support materials are designed for participants to use independently before, during, or after a learning experience.
These may include learner guides, workbooks, reflection tools, checklists, job aids, microlearning content, reading packs, or practical workplace tasks.
This option supports flexible learning and helps participants continue applying the learning in their own time and work environment.

Built for real workplace learning
Our programmes are designed to support practical behaviour change, not passive participation
Participants are encouraged to think, reflect, engage, practise, & apply
This helps learning become more than an event
It becomes a capability-building experience
